John Spooner had worked in asphalt plants and welded for years before he started feeling the stress negatively, he wanted to be able to enjoy life more and decided to come back to Lake Winnipesaukee.
He spent his summers growing up on Diamond Island and loved the area, without a direct plan, he started working in the marine industry. Quickly realizing there was a demand, but not a company who focused on boat detailing and reconditioning. He was many years ahead of his time, and the marine industry has only recently caught up to realizing there is such a demand.
In 1994, Diamond Shine was founded and continued to grow with the changing times and partnered with Lakeport Landing Marina to become the First Marine Distributor for their product line in the United States!occupying the corner offices. Diamond Shine is the leader of ceramic coatings in New Hampshire. A ceramic coating is applied by hand to the exterior of a vehicle or boat. We have been lucky enough to come across a new industry changing product line that we've been devoted to learning since 2013. This is one of many products that have recently changed the detailing industry and we are proud to be able to serve you with the best products on the market.
As much as we love taking on new customers, we're also very driven on keeping our existing customers happy and "wowed!" We've built a great reputation and strive very hard to keep and exceed our expectations; from our customers and to also challenge ourselves.
NEW SERVICES!
In the past, we've stayed true and focused on perfecting what we do best, boats; but with this new product line, we are now taking on Autos (during our slower periods).
We don't plan on doing autos as a main focus but we are looking forward to passing on the industries leading sealants. Althought it may be expensive at first, the product will speak for its self and will work for you, meaning less time washing & waxing your vehicle and less money at the car wash!

The hardest part of our job is finding others who are as hard working, fun loving and passionate about making things as shiny as possible.
We believe in our work and working hard, which we think shows when you meet us, but we also believe in having fun; whether its taking 5 minutes to cool down in the lake or just joking around with fellow co workers.
Diamond Shine is always looking for summer help between the months of April through August. It's a perfect summer job for high school kids because we have structured our business around skill building, team work and where else can you work on your tan while working .
